The technical intervention group, TIS, is intended for fast and effective interventions in case of accidents involving dangerous goods and providing for safety in case of vehicle repairs or interventions in road accidents, which involve vehicles for dangerous-goods transport. The personnel of the technical intervention group consists of the persons responsible for activating the TIS, firemen and expert technical personnel. The TIS has at its disposal a technical intervention vehicle equipped with various types of pumps and other equipment for pumping dangerous substances. It also has at its disposal a road tanker with pumps for pumping and transporting fuels. The in-house parking facilities can be used for temporary storage of pumped dangerous liquids, and the wastewater treatment facility can be used for neutralisation or disposal of dangerous goods.
